Clementine Cooler with RW Dry Red

Makes 1 large jug to share 

Ingredients

60ml water

50g sugar 

250ml freshly squeezed *clementine juice

A couple dashes of Angostura bitters

500ml Robertson Winery Smooth Dry Red

2 clementines, sliced, for garnish  

Ice

*You can also substitute nice ripe oranges in this recipe 

Method

Combine the water and sugar in a small pot or saucepan. 

Bring to a simmer.

Once the sugar has dissolved, remove from the heat.

Refrigerate the simple syrup until cool. 

Cool all ingredients including the red wine before making the cocktail.

Fill a large jug with ice and clementine wheels.

Pour in the simple syrup and freshly squeezed clementine juice.

Top with a dash of Angostura bitters and finish with the Robertson Winery Smooth Dry Red.

Stir to combine. 

Serve to friends in generous red wine glasses and enjoy!
