ROUTE DESCRIPTION:

The 70 km, 50 km and 30 km route riders can look forward to a scenic journey through the vineyards and over the rolling hills of the Robertson Valley.

The 70 km route is for the serious riders who are looking for a challenge. This is the fi rst year that we’re hosting a route of this length, and it’s certainly one to test the endurance. Tough and technical, with a total elevation
gain of approximately 1400 m, please do not attempt if you don’t do these distances on a regular basis.

The 50 km route is a rewarding route for experienced riders, as it includes challenging and technical climbs and descents.

The 30 km route is a pleasant trail through the vineyards and over gentle hills. It’s not as technically challenging as the longer routes, but will provide a nice challenge for most riders. Expect a combination of jeep and single track sections on all three longer routes.

The 10 km route consists of jeep tracks exclusively and is suitable for children and beginner riders.

PLEASE NOTE:
All four routes have been opened exclusively for the 2015 MTB Challenge. These funrides form part of the Wacky Wine Weekend Festival in Robertson. Each participant older than 18 will receive a bottle of Robertson Winery wine or grape juice. Participants under the age of 18 will receive a bottle of Robertson Winery grape juice. All children U/12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children U/10 will be permitted to take part in the 10 km route.
